In this work, Sebastien Desnoulez steps away from vibrant façades to capture the discreet beauty of wear — the kind that time inscribes into walls. Here, bright yellow peels away, turquoise shutters are veined with salt marks, and layers of plaster overlap like strata of memory.
The frontal, symmetrical framing isolates the façade as a subject in its own right. The central door, with frosted glass panes, appears to have been closed for a long time. A tied curtain on the right suggests a passageway, an intimacy, a quiet life lived.
Through this image, Sebastien captures the tension between brightness and decay, color and texture, light and silence. The whole forms an abstract painting composed of surfaces, traces, and faded tones.
This print speaks less of color than of the time that transforms it — of the history of places and those who once inhabited them. An architectural photograph… profoundly human.
The different types of frames and finishes available
The print comes with its certificate of authenticity and a Hahnemühle hologram affixed to the back.
The framing is left to your discretion.

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.
The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.
The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.
The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.
The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.
The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.
Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.
This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
