This weekend, the legendary Bugatti Circuit in Le Mans hosts the third and final edition of GP Explorer, an extraordinary event created by Squeezie, one of the most influential figures on YouTube and Twitch. Blending digital entertainment, motorsport competition and artistic performance, this gathering shows just how closely image and speed can work together.
But beyond the spectacle and the festive atmosphere, this popular success also awakens an older memory: that of the golden age of automotive photography, which the gallery Une Image pour Rêver keeps alive through its limited-edition fine art prints.
An Event Born on the Web, Driven by a Whole Generation
Launched in 2022, GP Explorer has shaken up the world of motorsport by bringing unconventional drivers to the starting grid: Squeezie, Baghera Jones, Gotaga, Billy, Maghla, LeBouseuh… Streamers, content creators, comedians and artists, all united around a Formula 4 race, driving real single-seaters on a legendary circuit.
For this 2025 edition — the last one — the event reaches a new level:
- An official album, “The Last Race”, created with SCH and over 25 artists (Gims, Ziak, Clara Luciani, etc.),
- Live TV broadcast on Sunday, October 5 at 4:50 p.m. on France 2, with qualifying on France 4 and Twitch streaming,
- Hundreds of thousands of spectators expected, both onsite and online.
For the first time, a project born on the internet fully enters the traditional audiovisual landscape, while staying true to its DNA: a spectacular staging of bodies, machines… and emotion.
From 1990s F1 to Classic Cars
The gallery highlights the rare images of Sebastien Desnoulez and Dominique Leroy, captured during the 1990s and 2000s at major Formula 1 Grands Prix. It was a legendary era featuring Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, Jacques Villeneuve and Alain Prost. These F1 photographs revive the intensity of race starts, the stillness of pit moments, and the striking graphic beauty of Ferrari, Williams, Benetton or McLaren cars.
Alongside them, photographer DINGO — a major figure in automotive advertising and specialist press — brings a unique perspective. For decades, he has been capturing vintage cars, historic rallies and collector cars, often in carefully selected settings or studios. His work, blending commercial aesthetics and mechanical homage, appeals to lovers of design, history and beautiful bodywork.
These photographs are not mere souvenirs: they are works of art. They tell a story — of a moment, a style, an era. A vibration. And today, they continue to captivate interior designers, motorsport enthusiasts and collectors of powerful imagery.
Two Perspectives, One Shared Thrill
GP Explorer 3 embodies the raw energy of a new generation, the thrill of a live race shared across screens. Fine art photography offers a different kind of time: a gaze that pauses, contemplates, and chooses one moment to preserve forever.
The two mirror each other. Both celebrate speed — one live, the other through its lasting trace.
So this weekend, while engines roar on the Le Mans tarmac and social media buzzes with #GPEXPLORER, why not explore another path too? That of photographic art, celebrating the same passion — but through timeless emotion.
