Apple of death

  • Photographer: ©

In this surreal rural scene, Dingo upends the codes of ceremony with biting lightness. A hearse stopped by the roadside, two funeral workers in black suits, a coffin standing upright like a stele… And yet, there is neither sadness nor solemnity.

Seated atop the flower-covered coffin, like a Zen monk or a mock king, a man in uniform calmly and resolutely picks apples. At his feet, his colleague bites into a fruit with a smile, the basket already brimming. The supposed corpse becomes an accomplice in the harvest — even death seems to be taking a snack break.

The staging is executed with meticulous precision: dark suits contrast with the vibrant greenery, the composition is vertical, almost theatrical, and the winding road in the background brings a gentle breath to this scene frozen in absurdity. The fruit tree becomes a totem of life. The coffin, a pedestal for a moment of sharing.

No retouching. No cheap irony. Just the poetry of an improbable moment, captured in a real setting, with a visual authenticity that pays tribute to the finest silent film comedies and the whimsical compositions of Jacques Tati.

Floating Frame

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.

The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.

The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.

The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.

The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Frame with mat

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.

The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.

Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.

This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
