From the esplanade of São Jorge Castle, Sebastien Desnoulez captures one of those moments when the city seems to suspend its rhythm. The Tagus stretches gently under the golden evening light, while the 25 de Abril Bridge appears in filigree on the horizon.
In the foreground, the silhouettes of walkers are outlined in backlight, sheltered by the protective shadow of a large pine tree. The composition balances the solidity of the forms – lamppost, stones, trunk – with the fluidity of the bridge’s lines and the delicacy of the branches.
In this photograph, time dilates. The glow of the sun filtering through the branches, the warm tones, and the depth of the shadows create an atmosphere both intimate and universal: one of waiting, contemplation, and the silent bond between man and the city.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
