Near Grey Glacier

2025 – Chile

In this photograph taken near Grey Glacier in Chilean Patagonia, Yves Langlois isn’t chasing the “spectacular” in a tourist sense. Instead, he composes an image of rare presence, where the mountain seems to emerge from a silent world—only to dissolve back into it.

Everything unfolds in the materiality. Snow clings to the ridgelines like a dusting of light, revealing the strata and scars of the rock, while mist wraps the summit in an almost painterly veil. The scene becomes a subtle study in contrasts: sharp mineral forms against air, verticality against erasure, crisp textures against the softness of white.

Black and white heightens the sense of timelessness and of a constructed artwork—closer to an engraving or a charcoal drawing than to a straightforward documentary shot. The eye moves from peak to peak, guided by a pared-back composition, and you can feel what Patagonia offers at its most precious: unstable weather that turns the landscape into a theatre, where every break in the clouds becomes a unique moment.

Displayed in an interior, this image acts like a window onto elsewhere: a photograph that doesn’t merely describe a place, but conveys an experience—the mountain appearing, fading, and leaving the viewer with a space for imagination. A work for fine art photography lovers drawn to restraint, composition, and the emotion born of minimalism.

Floating Frame

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.

The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.

The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.

The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.

The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Frame with mat

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.

The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.

Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.

This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
