Two Windows

October 2023 – Burano, Venice, Italy
In this work of precise geometry and strictly frontal composition, Sebastien Desnoulez creates a dialogue between two halves of a façade, two colors, two windows, two worlds. On the left, a sunlit yellow framed by dark green shutters; on the right, a vivid violet highlighted with electric blue. Each window holds a different plant, placed like a living signature.
What first appears as a decorative composition reveals a deeper reflection on imperfect symmetry, neighborliness, and identity. Vertical lines and chromatic contrasts construct a graphic balance where every element finds its place.
The photograph reads like a diptych: two windows side by side, each with its hue, its energy, its silent expression. True to his Colors of Burano series, Desnoulez continues to reveal the architectural beauty of everyday life, with visual precision and quiet tenderness.
The different types of frames and finishes available
The print comes with its certificate of authenticity and a Hahnemühle hologram affixed to the back.
The framing is left to your discretion.

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.
The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.
The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.
The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.
The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.
The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.
Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.
This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
