Water lily

August 2022 – Evian les Bains, France
Solitary on the water’s surface, this water lily appears as a peaceful, almost unreal vision.
It seems to float outside of time, cradled in silence and light.
The minimalist composition gives full presence to the flower, whose pearly white petals delicately catch the light.
But it is the image’s singular color palette that creates its poetry: a subtle dialogue between the cool, deep tones of the water and the soft, almost milky hues of the lily.
The chromatic choice — perhaps slightly desaturated — leans toward a muted palette, where deep blues flirt with greenish greys, creating an almost painterly atmosphere.
This color treatment imbues the scene with a sense of suspended calm and inward contemplation.
The soft background blur, absence of sharp references, and diffused light all enhance the poetic dimension of the work.
It’s no longer just a flower we’re looking at — it is a fragile moment, a delicate balance between reality and imagination.
With this photograph, the artist offers us an intimate encounter with nature —
a silent image, both precise and dreamlike, where color becomes emotion.

The different types of frames and finishes available
The print comes with its certificate of authenticity and a Hahnemühle hologram affixed to the back.
The framing is left to your discretion.

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.
The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.
The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.
The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.
The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.
The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.
Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.
This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
