Hollywood Chinese Theatre

1950’s – Los Angeles, California, USA

This photograph, captured in front of the iconic Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, immerses us in the vibrant atmosphere of the mid-1950s. A majestic Cadillac Series 62 Sedan, with its flowing lines and pastel blue finish typical of the era, glides elegantly through the scene. The striking contrast between the theater’s exotic architecture, its intricate decorations, and the stately palm trees evokes a time when Hollywood was the epitome of the American dream and cinematic glamour.

The composition, with its saturated colors, architectural details, and urban dynamism, recalls the style of renowned photographer Stephen Shore, a master of American vernacular photography. Shore expertly captured the beauty of the ordinary and everyday scenes with documentary precision and an iconic color palette.

Part of the private collection of André Robé, a passionate collector of vernacular slides from the 1950s to 1970s, this photograph reflects post-war America, where automobiles and cinema were powerful symbols of modernity and prosperity.

Floating Frame

The floating frame, sleek and modern, is one of the preferred framing choices for contemporary art galleries and museums.

The floating frame perfectly enhances your photographic print.

The spacing between the frame and the image creates a floating effect and highlights the image, making it an ideal art frame to maximize the depth and elegance of the artworks in our collection.

The print is mounted on a 2 mm Dibond panel and placed in the frame.

The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Frame with mat

This classic framing combines timeless elegance and sophistication, offering a sublime presentation for your most precious artworks and photographs. A wooden or aluminum frame, chosen for its simplicity and nobility, adds a touch of authenticity and refinement to your piece.

The mat, an essential element of this ensemble, enhances the artwork by creating a visual space around it. It highlights the details and nuances while adding extra depth. Carefully selected, it perfectly complements the artwork without overwhelming it, allowing every detail to stand out.

Finally, the museum glass, of exceptional quality, provides optimal protection against harmful elements such as dust, humidity, and UV rays. With its unmatched clarity and anti-reflective properties, it ensures perfect visibility from every angle, allowing your artwork to shine without distractions.

This harmonious ensemble transforms each piece into a masterpiece, ready to be admired and preserved for generations to come. Investing in a classic frame means choosing to enhance and protect what you cherish with unparalleled distinction.
