2020 – Sète, France
The vivid colors and raw texture engage in a dialogue within this abstract composition, where the deep blue of oxidized metal contrasts with the bright orange of time-worn lettering. A fragment of history, torn from the hull of a boat moored in the port of Sète, where rust and erosion become the unintended painters of an ever-evolving work.
The imprint of the word “RIO,” altered by years of exposure, evokes an unfinished journey—a departure suspended between the sea and memory. The almost tangible texture narrates the passage of time upon this industrial structure, transforming decay into a mesmerizing aesthetic.

The depth of the floating frame is 4 cm, and the gap between the photograph and the inner edges of the frame is 0.8 cm for black or white finishes and 1 cm for wood finishes (Oak, Wenge, etc.). This arrangement creates a visually pleasing “floating” effect. Finally, a hanging system is attached to the back of the frame for a quick, easy, and secure installation.

Pigment inkjet print on Fine Art paper, supplied with Hahnemühle certificate of authenticity.
The print is laminated onto a 2 mm Dibond sheet and mounted in the floating frame to give it visual depth.
The Fine Art print is placed on neutral cardboard, then covered with a 7 cm beveled white mat and anti-reflective, UV-resistant museum glass, before being framed in black aluminum or wood (black, white, oak or wenge).
