The sale price corresponds to the two parts of the diptych. In the first part of the diptych, the man stands out against the immaculate background. His black suit and hat create a striking contrast with the white void that surrounds him. The briefcase in his hand reinforces the idea of departure, of a break with daily routine. His determined stance and the absence of any other details in the environment accentuate the impression of a journey into the unknown. In the second part of the diptych, the white space seems infinite, symbolizing endless possibilities and new directions to be taken. The black-and-white treatment with a custom filter gives the image the texture of an engraving or drawing, adding an artistic and timeless dimension. This work invites meditation and introspection, leaving each viewer free to imagine the man’s motivations and the nature of his journey.
